Mark Nguyen was elected to the Midway City Sanitary District Board of Directors in November 2022 after being appointed in 2021. Professionally, Mark is a software engineer specializing in database administration. Mark was a Planning Commissioner for the City of Westminster before entering into politics and was among the first refugees to leave Vietnam by boat after the Fall of Saigon. He spent his childhood years on the Malaysian island Pulau Bidong and in Nebraska before he migrated to Southern California during his middle and high school years. Mark earned his Bachelor's Degree from UCLA and has lived in Westminster for the past 20 years with his wife and kids.
